City of Lynn Municipal Parking Lots

Policy for City Parking Lots

  • The fee for municipal parking lots is $50 per day permit (7AM-6PM), $50 per night permit (6PM-7AM) or $100 per 24 hour permit (where permitted).
  • Monthly payments are to be made online using the Lynn.thepermitportal.com site. Late payments are subject to a $30 parking violation for parking in a restricted zone and will not be voided upon late payment.
  • Collected fee is used to cover cost of maintenance of lots as well as online portal and does not include constant supervision. Therefore, parking is at one’s own risk and the City of Lynn is not responsible for damage or theft to vehicle or vehicles contents.
  • Please park correctly utilizing only one space so that others will have adequate space. Anyone parked incorrectly, for example, between the lines taking more than one space will be ticketed as illegally parked.
  • Vehicles in the lot must be registered, insured and have a valid/up-to-date inspection sticker or may be ticketed for such.
  • SNOW EMERGENCY: You will be notified to temporarily move the vehicle in the lot after or during snow emergency so that plows are able to properly clear lot. Please move vehicle to a space cleared of snow so that plows can clear entire lot.
  • Market Sq and Wyoma Lot permits **only available to businesses/employees in area**


City of Lynn Resident Parking 
Policy for City Resident Parking
  • The fee for resident parking permit is $20 per vehicle valid for one calendar year. Included you receive TWO visitor passes per household at no charge that allow a passenger vehicle to park on the street.
  • An electronic or photo copy of the valid vehicle registration must be uploaded online to our portal website.
  • Visitor passes allow a visiting passenger vehicle to park on your street, to add vehicle plate use the online portal, Lynn.thepermitportal.com. Add the vehicle plate number online after signing in with email and password. The plate would be registered in our system for a week from that date.
  • The City of Lynn Parking Department may revoke or suspend any residential parking permit or visitor passes in cases of misuse of said permit/passes. Resident parking zones are voted upon by the residents of the street by petition to the Traffic Commission. 
  • 25% off Resident Parking Senior/Veteran/Handicap Discount (Please include in proof of address document)
