Welcome to the City of Lynn Resident Parking and Municipal Permit Portal:

-          To start click on “Register” in the upper right corner tab, one account per household.

-          Register using an email address and imputting correct phone number

-          Purchase permits, 1 permit per license plate.

City of Lynn Resident Parking:

Resident Permits:

-          The fee for resident parking is $20 per vehicle, valid for one year from date of purchase. Included in the account is the option for TWO visitor passes provided free of charge valid for 7 days. (Discounted rate of 25% off for a senior/Veteran/handicap residential parking permit)

-          An electronic scan or photo of the valid vehicle registration with the vehicle’s primary or garaged address at the address applying for resident parking is required in order to receive a permit.

-          The City of Lynn Parking Department may revoke or suspend any residential parking permit or visitor permit in cases of misuse of said permit/passes. Resident parking zones are voted upon by the residents of the street specific resident parking by petition to the Traffic Commission.

Visitor Passes:

-          Once you register you are able to submit (2) visitor passes free of charge which are valid for up to 7 days and can be renewed every week.

-          Once registered, select your location, scroll down and over to the visitor pass and click “Action Buy”, the permit amount price should be $0, if you have an active resident permit the visitor permit will become instantly active, if you have not registered a vehicle at the address under the account it will ask for a proof of address to verify. Once verified the permit will become approved and active.

-          NO PHYSICAL PERMIT NEEDS TO BE DISPLAYED ON THE VEHICLE

City of Lynn Municipal Permit Parking:

-          The municipal parking permit is offered in a Day Pass $50 (7AM-7PM) Night Pass $50 (7PM-7AM) and a 24-Hour Pass(Buffum/Andrew Lots) $100 monthly. 

       *February 2026- Update night permits hours extended to extend through weekend, permit being valid Friday 7PM until Monday 7AM

     Market Square and Wyoma Square lot day permits are only available to businesses/employees in the area.    

-          Payments can also be made ahead of time using the 3 month, 6 month or 1 year option.

-          Monthly payments are to be made online at Lynn.ThePermitPortal.com / by mail / in person, late payments may be subject to a $30 parking violation and will not be voided upon late payment.

-          Collected fee is used to cover cost of maintenance of the lots as well as the online portal and does not include constant supervision of lots. Therefore, parking is at one’s own risk and the City of Lynn is not responsible for damage or theft to vehicle or vehicles contents.

-          Please park correctly utilizing only one space so that others will have adequate space. Anyone parked incorrectly, for example, between the lines taking more than one space will be ticketed as illegally parked.

** SNOW EMERGENCY IN MUNICIPAL LOTS** - You will be notified by email to temporarily move the vehicle in the lot after or during snow emergency so that plows are able to properly clear the lot. Please move vehicle to a space cleared of snow so that entire lot can be cleared.

Failure or refusing to do will result in ticketing and towing

**Snow permit program only active during winter months** 

-          When parking in one of the city’s open snow lots register under the location so we can best keep you informed! Snow permits allow you to be notified by email of changes with the City Snow Emergency and snow parking lots.

-          If a parking ban is lifted BEFORE 9PM, residents have TWO hours to remove cars from lots.

-          If a parking ban is lifted AFTER 9PM, residents have until 6AM the next day to remove cars from lots.

-         ANY CARS LEFT WILL BE TOWED TO A HOLDING LOT AT 389 BLOSSOM STREET (LYNN FERRY TERMINAL SITE)  SO THAT LOT CAN BE CLEARED FOR SCHOOL  PLEASE CALL  781-598-4000
